GlobalReader Call for Help feature allows you to set up different types of notifications to improve communication between Operator and any other department within the factory to reduce machine downtime and keep production going. Your machine operators can call for assistance without leaving the machine „I need new material “ or „Machine needs tech“ etc.

Call for Help page under System Advanced Setup gives you an overview of all the entered notifications (Active/All) by their name and type and additionally shows on what workstation the notification is available for the operator to use.

How to add a new Call for help notification?

Call for Help type can be either an email or SMS and with its own message to the person receiving the notification to come to help. Please follow the steps to add a new Call for help notification:

  1. Open the 'Call for help' page and click on 'Add new'
  2. Enter the details - name, type, contact details, message and select workstation on which the Callf or help is available or leave empty if all of them. NB! Several users can be added.
  3. Click on 'Save' - now the call for help is available for the operator in Operator feature

NOTE: For SMS please include the country prefix e.g +372 to the phone number

How to edit a Call for help notification?

Call for help notifications can be edited by clicking on its name. Please follow the steps:

  1. Open the 'Call for help' page and click on the notification name you wish to edit
  2. Change the details needed - all the details can be changed
  3. Click on 'Save' - notification details are updated and effective

How to inactivate a call for help notifications?

Call for help notification can be inactivated if it is no longer needed or should be inactivated for certain time period. Please follow the steps:
