Option 1 - signal from switchboard
What you need?
- BlackBox and power supply
- Signal switchboard cable
- To get the signal from existing sensor on the machine we need to find right connection in the electrical cabinet. Most sensor's uses 3 cables. For BlackBox connection we need 0V and signal (Q) If there is a free contact to get signal just connect cable. If not then use splicing connector.
Logic Block Diagram of PLC connection of dedicated signal:
- After connecting sensor and BlackBox contact GlobalReader support to verify the readings
Option2 - signal of existing sensor with splitter
What you need?
- BlackBox and power supply
- Splitter M12 or M8 (should match existing sensor PIN layout)
- Cable for connection
How to make installation?
- To get the signal from existing sensor on the machine we need to find suitable sensor for readings. Most sensors using M8 or M12 type of connector. To get the readings connect the splitter between the sensor and connecting cable. Using pins 3&4 for connecting splitter and BlackBox (BlackBox/Scoutbox input pin layout ).
Only use splitter with the following diagram.
