PowerBI connector for GlobalReader is a solution to query GlobalReader report data straight to PowerBI Desktop application. The Connector uses GlobalReader SmartFactory API to query the data from our servers to your local PowerBI application
Download globalreader_powerbi_connector.mez.zip
Extract the zip file
Move globalreader_powerbi_connector.mez to Documents/Power BI Desktop/Custom Connectors directory
In Power BI check File → Options and Settings → Options → Security → Data Extensions → “Allow any extension to load”. Then restart Power BI.
In Power BI click “Get Data“.
Search for “globalreader“, select it and click “Connect“
Add paramaters start_at, end_at and device_uid start_at - Start date and time of the query end_at - End date and time of the query device_uid - GR device UID. This can be found in Passport → System Advanced Setup -> Devices by clicking a device and finding UID
Provide token (Account key) Token is the key used for connecting external interfaces to GlobalReader. If you don’t have a token, contact [email protected]. You must have the SmartFactory Package to enable API token
Open up a navigator with all the reports, select one and load the data
Start processing the gathered data in PowerBI
