How to verify that Cloud port 5683 is open?
This port is used by the BlackBox to send keepalive to our servers, update the software and keep the internal clock of the BlackBox in sync (using standard Network Time Protocol NTP)
On a computer that’s connected to the same Wifi network as the Blackbox
Open URL http://cloud.globalreader.eu:5683/ in browser
Verify the result
Expected: The URL is opened. Browser shows error message like ERR_INVALID_HTTP_RESPONSE or response with some unicode characters means the port is opened
Any message like NOT FOUND, TIME OUT means the port is closed
In case this page results in such error configure router and/or firewall to allow TCP port 5683 cloud.globalreader.eu
Testing with telnet
telnet cloud.globalreader.eu 5683
Restart Wifi router
Green LED blinking fast shows that there is no WiFi connection - either WiFI credentials have not been saved to the Black Box or the Wifi router is not allowing the connection (for example: DHCP address is not being distributed).
Restart BlackBox by removing power from it for a few seconds and then putting it back
Any other color on the Black Box, restart it and if no change contact [email protected]
